Miu Miu Fall 2000 Top

Lovely top from Miu Miu Fall Winter 2000 collection as seen on the runway. This top is in a gorgeous wool tweed and features hints of pale pink, lilac, blue and brown threads on a buttery cream white base and is lined with delicate silk. The top is sleeveless and includes a deep cleavage with a bow tie inspired shape in the front and has a back side zipper. For Miu Miu Fall 2000 collection Prada is inspired by the 40s. The looks looked strict with straight lines, severe cuts, knee length skirts and dresses, but also includes items are simple but elegant with a touch of femininity  (use of silk and deep cleavage) and colors (pink, red and green). Prada explored what she wasn’t allowed to wear as a child (colors) and it allows her to escape from the strict rules from her parents. It is reflected in her Fall 2000 collection with women in “red shoes and pink dresses” and by doing so Prada is allowing her inner creative child to express itself, and to come at peace and break free with what she was not allowed to do and wear growing up.
